How Do We Turn This Thing OFF?

WARNING: The side effects of reading this post may cause headaches and confusion

Have you ever thought about the size of the universe and its infinite structure? Like where does it end? Well on a similar note of HUGE thoughts, how on Earth do we turn off the Internet? When I picture a power box of the Internet I envision  box with loads of security locks with a little switch inside that could turn off the entire Internet. But it's not like that. At all. It' s nearly impossible to shutdown the entire Internet. As a whole, the Internet is composed of multiple different networks controlled by multiple different people, businesses, and governments. Then again, Egypt did it. It would be so much cooler (prunier) if the Internet was just one domain or perhaps it would be scarier.

It's one thing to rid yourself of the Internet but imagine how society would be if one day every network crashed; it would be like reverse time travel. Would it be a dystopia or utopia? The loss of social networking may seem to be the worst that could happen but we must understand how the Internet has become a political, financial, and social weapon. All forms of digital communication would be eliminated which in some ways would be beneficial and bring us back to the basics of human contact. Countries would have to go back to telegraphs and would result in less political conflict. Think about how many recent political conflicts have been ignited by the Internet. For example, Twitter and Iran; there would be no reason for Iran to blame the United States for aiding the rebels. 

Is the Internet a matter of fear or glory?
